The Washington Post came out with a strong endorsement of Creigh Deeds this weekend. In praising Deeds on a host of issues, the Post noted his support “for responsible environmental policies, including green jobs and alternative energy research.”
Meanwhile at event on Saturday, Bob McDonnell seemed to have trouble answering questions about the science of global warming. According to the Associated Press, at an event with John McCain, McDonnell alternatively said, “Well, there’s some debate that various scientists are going on in that,” he said. “I think the temperature of the earth, from the science I’ve seen, is going up.” He went on say he accepts the science, but remains opposed to national clean energy legislation.
